Hello From Longview

Post by grawlfang on Sat 26 Nov 2011, 1:22 pm

I just started back in to salt water 6 months ago and a few things have changed since they last time I was in to this. I used to have a 300 gallon salt water system and now have started again with a 75 gallon tank. I have so far added 2 anemone, 2 shrimp, 2 Hawaiian fan worms, 2 clark clown fish, 2 tiger conche, 3 green crabs, 5 snails, 3 hermit blue legged crabs, 2 types of mushrooms, 3 kenya trees, and a couple of other soft corals. I am looking to add a 20 gallon quarantine tank and any other advice from others that have some experience since i have been out of salt water for 15 years.

Welcome to ETAK! There are a couple of members here that were "Reefing" 15yrs ago. If I were to guess... the biggest change would be the Internet at your finger-tips. Info readily available.

Welcome back to the salty side. :-)

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. There are people on here who have been doing this for a really long time and really know their stuff!

I'd love to see pics of your tank (15 years ago and the one you've got today)!

sorry don't think I have any picks of the older tank. It was not a reef system but an aggressive tank Smile had a lion fish, snowflake eel, 2 Koran Angels, 4 domino damsels, and some rock and other things.

Sounds great. :-)

If I had several tanks I'd love an aggressive, I'm just WAY too addicted to all the coral to make it my only tank! Haha.

Welcome aboard Kevin, you'll find a great bunch of addicts here.

Matt... give you a 125G tank..would just be an even bigger reef full of corals I bet, would have bigger fish in there, but "Ohhhh think of how big I can get XXXX to grow"
