Wild anemones?

Hi guys, I got some Wild anemones grows on my Live rocks. My friend says they are dangerous. However I think they are cool looking.
Should I get rid of them?
Please help.

Are they majanos? If so they are very invasive and can apparently take over a tank.
That said... i have seen picks of some VERY cool majanos that i wouldn't mind having myself..

I am a dummy on anemones . Mine looks clear and has very long "legs"
There are 7 of them growing on the rock. My fish seems keep distance from them. Maybe it is a bad sign.

Sounds like Aptasia, commonly refered to as "Glass Anemones". I would "Google" images to ID them first. If they are, they are considered a "Pest" by most trying to keep a Reef. Unfortunately, you may have to kill them off. I made the mistake of letting Majanos live in my RSM, started off with two or three. A couple years later they have just about taken over. I'm being forced to address it now.

If they look like the picture below they are Aiptasi, I would get rid of them asap because they will eventually take over the tank. I got rid of my larger ones by injecting them at the base with boiling water ans a syringe. If they are still small, adding a Peppermint shrimp or two will get rid of them. They are cool to look at at first but will soon be an eye sore and if you ever transfer any of the rock to another tank even though you dont see any on it they will pop up in the new tank.

Not so much in a non-reef environment. Besides mutiplying, they will compete with corals. They have been known to sting coral to death in order to take a particular spot.

You can kill them by mashing them with a dental pic. Just becareful when moving your rock over and kill them on site! They make several different products designed to kill them, but I like to see blood! Just me..

My 40 gallon is full of them. I kept them in check with Aiptasia X but they just come back. I can't add peppermint shrimp because the mantis would kill them quick. Peps did take care of the aiptasia in my 75. Some Butterfiles or File Fish will take them out also but most aren't considered safe with corals. Berghia Nudibranches are another option. It doesn't look like you have too many so Aiptasia X or Joe's Juice might be a good option.

I'm telling you boiling water is free of chemicals and easy on the wallet and it works great, none of the ones I nuked with boiling water injected into the base ever survived, it killed them out right. You can get a needle syringe at the feed store or pharmacy. Just boil the water in a pan, sit the pan beside the tank and draw up water and inject into the base when they withdraw, no more Aiptasia. Let us know how it works for ya, remember into the base.

hi Donnie, I finally try the Boiling water method, it did not work at beginning, since I was using a small injector. then I switch to a bigger one, I worked. they are dying out now.
