Re: Project 105
acans will be placed back in the tank tomorrow.
As you can probably tell, I have lost a lot of fish and coral since I first got the tank up and running. Hopefully this is a new beginning and there is GREATNESS to follow. 2012 should be a good year to get back on track, with Next Wave coming , then the DFWMAS summer swaps, followed by MACNA !!!! The future is looking good. Oh getting my x-mas bonus on thursday ... AI SOL's here I come !!!!
and maybe a better skimmer like this one :
http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/octopus-extreme-160-protein-skimmer.html
or this one :

Re: Project 105
I've read a lot of good stuff about the reef octopus extreme 160. That one would get my vote. The cone skimmers seem to go 50/50. Half of the people who try them love them and think they're revolutionary. The other half think if they put the same equipment into a cylinder it would work better. I don't pretend to know. lol.

Re: Project 105
Never really been a big fan of the ASM line of skimmers. I had one on a previous tank , and I wasn't happy with it.
I have had GREAT results out of the Reef Octo that I currently have, but I need a larger one. Mark Callahan (mr. saltwater tank) gives the SWC Cone great reviews, which is why I have included that one in my list.
