Reef question Empty Reef question

I am looking for a food to feed clams, corals, sponges, sea cucumbers, sea whips all those types of animals. Is there one food I can buy to feed all or would I need different foods for particular species?

I used a powder called coral frenzy that is pretty good. BUT I only use it about once a month. I am very stingy when it comes to feeding or adding anything to my tank. Hell I only feed the fish 2 times a week or so. Just not big on putting anything into my tank if I don't have to.

Corals is a huge category. You'll have to be more specific there. Clams sea whips and sponges are filter feeders. They'll feed on the nitrates and phyto plankton in your system naturally. If you want to keep more than your natural food source can handle you can feed zeosponge, coral snow or plankton.

Sea cucumbers are also different varieties. Either filter feeder or sand sifter.

Algae. Plankton is just very small plant pieces. Phyto that is cultured is a specific type.

I feed my fish only. I used to target feed all my LPS with frozen mysis but it's pretty useless now because the fish eat all the food before the corals can get it down. They'd rather steal from the corals or eat straight from the turkey baster instead of catching it in the water.

Basically if something can't live off of light and occasional fish food I don't keep it in my tank.
