This is a big boy, 10 inches of attitude and meaness. Now so many pet store just sell hybrids it may not grow to that, but it probably has the attitude.

But before the bad news, the good news. The Lemon Yellow Labs and the Yellow Labs are easy to keep.

But as you were saying. 1 is colored like a brown trout but sometimes turns purple.

There is such a thing as the Trout Cichlid, and yes it looks a lovely blueish colour.

Pictures would help with the ID, but all will depend upon the age of the fish. If you look at my 55G tank build for the Peacocks, you will see that it was approaching a year before they really gained their true colours.

And the tank I bought from you is doing great. I purchased some tank starter that is good bacteria and helps get the tank cycled. Water is crystal clear, levels are all in range. I love the catfish, he is one neat animal. Thank you for all the information.

Oh, I forgot to tell you.....I painted the homemade stand you sent with the tank flat black.....you wouldnt believe the difference that made. Yeti has a black aquarium stand that I am going to buy next week. Do you need this stand back? If not I will store it.
