Live Sand/Live Rock/Crushed Coral/55 gallon tank stand
I am looking for a few things:
Live sand for my 37 gallon saltwater
Live rock
55 gallon stand
Possible crushed coral? Not sure if I need that for my 37 gal saltwater, suggestions welcome.
Thanks

J.Davis,
No, I do not, however, I do have my 2 pieces of live rock submerged in 5 gallons of Saltwater. And I have Instant Ocean. Got tired of trying to find quality sw and bought the mix. Do you know where I can get some?

Re: Live Sand/Live Rock/Crushed Coral/55 gallon tank stand
I mention having water already in you tank because I just emptied the sand from my 200g. It wouldn't be considered "Live" sand out of the water for more than a day. As for mixing your own saltwater, that is really the best way to go if you have your own RO/DI system.
Re: Live Sand/Live Rock/Crushed Coral/55 gallon tank stand
So you have sand available? Sorry, I am so new at the sw......

Yes, I've got some. But once you take it out of a tank, the benificial bacteria will start to die off. After time it simply becomes "Dead" sand. It can have bacteria re-established by adding "Live" sand back to it. I'm not much on what the LFS sell... called Live Sand. I've used both, but the only difference I've ever noticed was the price.

Great! I understand. How much do you want for it?

I'm insanely interested in your sand also. Won't be able to keep it live though, so whatever people get before then is fine.

Re: Live Sand/Live Rock/Crushed Coral/55 gallon tank stand
I have several people wanting it, but none of them are able to throw it into thier tanks right away. I thought if you already had water in yours.. you could benefit from it still being "Live". I'll ask the others how much they'll need first.

I see you had to chime in & remind me who was first in line.. LOL
Re: Live Sand/Live Rock/Crushed Coral/55 gallon tank stand
Hahaha. No no. Sell what you can while it's live. No since killing anything!!! :-)
With me... it'll all have to die, and that's no good!

Re: Live Sand/Live Rock/Crushed Coral/55 gallon tank stand
Well its been made difficult to me bc I'm told NOT to buy the sand/liverock from the local pet store ......and instead buy it from an individual.....but getting it from an individual is too hard. Im thinking its not worth it if everything I need has to be flown in from florida or purchased from individuals.
My problem is not paying for the sand......its finding it.......I'm just going to go ahead and buy it from a local store and deal with the concequences, if any, later. Seems this is the easiest route.

LOL.. If you stop by before I head to Tyler I"ll have the 15lbs, or so you'll need. Call it $15. I live off of HG Mosely close to Hwy 80. If you can't make, I work in Kilgore. Get off at 3:30... or I even have to play Pool tonight @ Break-n-Run in Kilgore around 6:30 this evening. Shouldn't be that hard to get sand I'll PM you my number, you can shoot me a text if any of those will work for ya.
