Emerald Coast Florida Sand
I make this trip once per year. I always bring back what I can. I usually get around $1 per lb. If your spending $50 or more I drop the price to 50 cents per lb. In July, I'll be going back to Fl. and getting some more. It'll be dry, you'll get more sand that way. No water weight. It's the best substrate for an aquarium IMO. Also the best looking, beautiful glowing white. It's extreme "Whiteness" comes from the high quartz content found in that area. I would simply give it away, but there's actually ALOT of work involved. Not just the physical labor and time. I only have a limited amout right now.. what came out of my 200. This has already been spoken for, with a small exception for Cichlid Lover while it's still "Live". Otherwise I'll have clean dry sand the week following July 4th. If you'd like some, let me know. Feel free to post your orders here.
Thanks,
Jason
Thanks,
Jason
Re: Emerald Coast Florida Sand
I got a 50 dollar bill with ur name on it!
Now how heavy is this sand?
Wasn't sure if I was gonna lose a lot from washing.
Or if i t needed much washing.
If there is gonnna be a good bit that will wash out I will
Want a tad bit more to compensate for the loss

Re: Emerald Coast Florida Sand
Well Matt just left with the sand he'll be needing and I still have (1) 5g bucket with 45lbs & (3) Bags of 15+ lbs. This I'd consider still "Live". It is dirty, but once it's in a tank with flow & filtration will be beautiful again. I would resist rinsing it clean if you wanted to use it "Live". Once dead.. risinse away.
Danny- if you want I can bring you some today, or if you'd rather wait til I come back from Fl... either way is fine. I'll be heading your way within the hour with the Kalkwasser. Just shoot me a text.
Terry- 45lbs do it? Is this going to be for your 40 Breeder? 45lbs would be around 2"

Each bucket weighs around 50lbs. I had to buy brand new 5g buckets and lids to bring the sand back with. $30 per bucket. I've only heard from Grawlfang & Shhhh so far. Looks like I'll have extra. If interested, text me @ 903-431-6790.

Re: Emerald Coast Florida Sand
Hey bud - this is Shane that bought the 9ft'r from ya. If you still have the sand on the 1st I'll come get it from ya.
While I was out on vacation the central air unit in my house died, I came back to a 105 degree house and a tank full of dead fish. Lost all but a couple, 35 or so Africans. So, I guess now is as good of time as any to swap out that old substrate...
