Tank Cracked. Need Home for Fish and Corals
I dont have anything really spectacular but I need a home for two clowns, two pajama cardinals and an Coral Beauty angel. I also have assorted corals and one sps, a long tentacle anemone and a maxi mini carpet anemone, so if anybody in the Flint area wants some fish now is the time. I've got to get them gone tonight, I dont have any other option. My kiddo is 17 months and into everything. I cannot leave anything out for any amount of time.
I Had a 65 gallon tank and about 100lbs of live rock in it. All the Rock and the Fish are in a Tupperware bin with heat and flow. Everything is just really peeved but I didnt lose anything.

Take your livestock up to Lonestar Aquariums, they'll house them till you're ready to get them back and if you don't want them back they'll give you store credit.

I picked up a 29 gallon biocube from my neighbor. I just finished a leak test and am setting up now. I just have to move everybody again.....

Re: Tank Cracked. Need Home for Fish and Corals
Well, so far so good, I have an old 4 bulb t-5 light fixture with fairly new bulbs. But, I'm concerned about everything having to acclimate to so much less light. It's a big change from dual 250 watt metal halides to 4 t-5's Currently I've got about 50lbs of what was live rock sitting on the back patio and the tank is still full of sand. but I could not re-use the sand without possibly stirring up a bunch of crude. So for now the Bio-cube is bare bottom. I'm going to have to find a brighter lighting solution I am afraid but For now, everything is alive and well, did not lose a single fish or coral but everything is stressed and I would like to find some kind of replacement for the tank, as it was a 65gallon, it's a little cramped in comparison.

Re: Tank Cracked. Need Home for Fish and Corals
At this time I'm going to try and keep everything going, the Biocube was a saving grace that I did not intend to find. Also, It was not that I just ignored anybody's PM's by the time I got every body switched over, I had to go back to work, I left to come fix the tank situation and went back until about 7 this morning. When I woke up I came here and presto I had like 11 PM's! So sorry about that! But I will keep all of you posted, but as for this moment I am going to try and keep my livestock, but I'm going to take it day at a time.
