Post by middaugh'saquarium on Sat 30 Jun 2012, 1:14 am

OK so i went to two different walmarts to get r/o water and neither of them had the big bottles so is primo water OK to use in a saltwater tank and i have a r/o system but it leaked so i turned it off so i will set it back up soon, but is primo water ok?

I admit I've used it before. I wouldn't use it for sps corals but I used it for fish and soft corals without issues. I'd bet it's as good or better than the crap from the LFSs around here. In a pinch I'm sure it's fine but long term RO/DI with 0 TDS is best. Are you doing water changes or just topping off?

I'm getting a 50 gallon tank tomorrow and moving it from her house to mine and I'm sure I will spill some saltwater on the way.

Buy distilled water from wal-mart. Almost always 0tds.
