Miracle Mud Empty Miracle Mud

Post by Danny21 Thu 24 Jan 2013, 11:39 pm

Has anybody tried miracle mud? I want to put some in my fuge but it is really expensive and i'm wondering if anybody has had amazing results to justify the price.

Miracle Mud Empty Re: Miracle Mud

It has some potential for great nitrate reduction in your system, but if it is going to be used in a fuge that does not have a designated area in the fuge for mud & macro you can get some very big side affects if you disrupt it. Basically if you use it make sure your skimmer and drain and pump go in seperate chambers, so when you need to do maintenance you can without having to stir up the mud. If you are not having issues with nitrates and are doing frequent water changes(which replenishes your trace elements) I would not add it. Use phosban media and a great quality carbon to reduce cyano and nitrates. If you are still interested in the miracle mud however I can probably get you a better deal on it.
