Are the reef octopus HOB's worth it?
Ok right now I am stuck between the
Reef Octopus BH1000
Hang-on-the-Back Protein Skimmer
•Manufacturer rated for tanks up to 100 gallons
•BRS recommended for tanks up to 75 gallons
and the
Reef Octopus BH2000
Hang-on-the-Back Protein Skimmer
•Manufacturer rated for tanks up to 125 gallons
•BRS recommended for tanks up to 100 gallons
Around $30 difference between the two and rated specs is all I see different.
This will be going in my AIO 40breeder.
Right now I am running a prism hob on the 29 and I don't think its gonna work out on
the 40.
Does anyone have any knowledge of these skimmers?
If there is a better one please by all means let me know.

I have no knowledge of them but if you're deciding between the 2 then get the bigger one. Better to have too much skimming than not enough.
Also sending you a text.

Ok awaiting your text.
With everything that has been going on I can never tell if its a good thing or not if I don't know what its about ahead of time lol.
If I get this HOB I plan on getting the larger one.
I really just wasn't sure I have seen a lot of good reviews.
But then like everything there is always a couple of reviews that
make you second guess the item.
And when I am about to dump 200 bucks on something
I tend to not want to buy a balloon filled with rocks. just don't float right.

Re: Are the reef octopus HOB's worth it?
Around $219.99 is around what I find them to be priced for the
Reef Octopus BH2000 Hang-on-the-Back Protein Skimmer
Unless you wanna go buy some site that priced them at $189.99
And when you click on it sends you off to buy some type of house cleaning stuff for 90 bucks lol.
