Display Macroalgae For Sale (SOLD)
I have a few types of nice macroalgae for sale or trade. Can be shipped priority mail for $5 if local pickup can't be arranged.
Dragon's Breath, $15 Deep red color with bright orange tips. Does not attach to rocks and isn't considered invasive. This can be grown in a separate tank or refugium and can be fed to algae eating tank inhabitants like tangs. Looks awesome in a reef tank or seahorse tank. Good for nano tanks that don't have a lot of mechanical filtration.
Clippings will be about this size,
Blue Ochtodes (Blue Balls) $15 Took me about 2 years to find this algae. Bright blue to purple color depending on lighting. Tangs will eat this also. Attaches easily to rocks. Looks great in a display and you can tell all your friends you have Blue Balls.
Clippings will be about golf ball size,
Violet Dream $20 (Less common/harder to find) I don't know much about this one except it's little slower growing, doesn't appear to be invasive and is a bit calcified so it's most likely not edible. My tang won't eat it so I'm thinking that makes it better suited for a display with algae eating fish but I can't say 100% that all fish or inverts won't eat it. My tang tasted it once and won't eat it anymore. Looks great in a display. Has shades of very light violet to dark purple.
Clippings will be over 1 inch and multi-branched.
I'll do a pack with all 3 for $30

Re: Display Macroalgae For Sale (SOLD)
I've seen little clippings of the "blue balls" go for $30-40 by itself.
Great deal. I'll be up for a pack of all three and some of your chaeto when I get started in a few more weeks.

Both my blue and dragons breath have done nicely in my Biocube, with no Tangs to dine upon it.

Re: Display Macroalgae For Sale (SOLD)
I have a yellow tang.
You can actually grow Dragon's Breath in your sump to feed tangs, live fresh food.
Some of these Macros look nicer than a lot of corals. The Dragon's breath is brighter red and orange than any coral I've seen.
I don't have a good pic of it but you can see it in the bottom left corner of this pic. The orange tips are almost as bright as that Sherman Rose and the Sherman Rose is the brightest animal I've seen.

Sweet looking stuff!
I guess I need to get the 10gallon setup for some of this stuff.
That way I can keep it until I train a tang not to eat it. 0.O

Thanks again Gabe, as usual your stuffs awesome and of decent size! I tried putting the violet dreams into my display and then put the other two into my sump and by the time i finished in the sump my tangs hada feeding frenzy n ate about half the violet dreams. I hadto take it back out immediatly and my yellow tang didnt like that n proceeded to tail slap my hand which in turn sliced open a knuckle lol. Those fish went NUTS for it lol. Lovin the added biodiversity and color in my fuge! And some copepods in it too lol yay!
Another happy customer here Sir! Thanks again!

Glad you like it John. Sucks that the tangs ate some of the violet though. I was hoping it wasn't edible

I just remembered it's against the law to ship certain types of macroalgae to the state of California. I'm not 100% sure which types but I really don't want to take the chance. I know some Caulerpa is illegal and I have grape Caulerpa in my tank I even though I wouldn't intentionally send it, I really don't want to take the chance on shipping to CA. Sorry.

I understand, I believe all Caulerpa is illegal in CA. Thanks for checking.
