anemone questions
so I tried to open the anemone FAQ but my computer kept saying that it had a virus and would not let me so I will try this way.
I have an anemone that was identified as a Warty Anemone or Gulf Warty Anemone and I really do not know what all it needs to stay healthy. It came out of a rock that was collected and we had no clue that it was even there. So for the questions portion of this:
1) what should I feed it? It has been living on a diet of Mysis shrimp but it seems to be getting bored with it.
2) how often should it be fed? I am currently feeding once a day in the early evening hours around 6:30-7ish
3) temperatures? the tank has been maintaining around 76-78 degrees
4) anything else that I didn't know to ask but should have
Thanks I wasn't really sure where to put this.

Re: anemone questions
These guys don't really need or like a lot of light, they don't seem to be photosynthetic. I would just by some small raw shrimp from Walmart and cut a small piece say about 1/4" and feed them about every other day or every three days. You may be feeding to much. I don't even feed my fish every day. If it is not interested in eating, you are feeding to much. Not much info out there on them.

Re: anemone questions
Donnie...thanks. I quit feeding it everyday and the color doesn't seem to pop as much now and the tentacles aren't as large now either... I honestly think it was just tired of the Mysis.. I gave it a bit of fish (I had a variety of fish scraps that I froze for my land hermits, all gulfcoast fish) and it seemed to perk back up with its appetite. As long as I provide several variations, shrimp, fish, Mysis, and squid and feed once a day it is happy as can be. It doesn't want to eat very much just a small piece it is very happy and has started developing some beautiful color variations.
