I'm thinking about getting a couple of Fuzzy Chiton's for my tank. Does anyone know if they are any good for hair algae? I have had an on going problem but still have some throughout my tank. I'm placing an order with reefcleaners today for a cleanup crew and was thinking of adding a couple to my order. Anyone had any experience with the chiton's

I tried adding one to my tank with my last order from them and I haven't seen it since. Possibly not surprising because they're quite well camouflaged... or it didn't live. Lol.

In the end I think I'd much rather go with a Mexican Turbo snail or a few margarita snails.

Trochus banded turbo snail. They don't get as large as other Turbos, less likely to knock stuff over. <<< 2cents

I've got some of those also and love them too. They also look cooler than typical snails. The orange turbos are cool for their color as well. I don't know that any turbos other than the Mexican turbo eat green hair algae though. Margarita snails are said to eat on green hair algae also. Blue legged hermits eat it for sure and are on sale at petco for $1 each right now too.
