tanks include a 240 gallon freshwater (being sold), a 55 freshwater planted tank (going to REDO it asap...), a 55 with 3 goldfish in it... and a 55 w/29 sump saltwater aggressive tank, and a 20L w/10g sump reef.

Hey Tim! Sounds like your one of the few lucky ones. Like yours, my wife loves it. Actually, I build the setups and she usually does the landscaping and purchases the livestock. I mentioned adding another tank a few days ago and she is all for it. Woooohoooo

I have always just had fish off and on thru out my life.
Then i guess you can say i grew up and started taking responsibility
for them. Slow learner i guess lol.

Right now i just have a lightly planted 20g long with a couple of Yellow Lab Cichlids.
Untill i get the flooring beefed up this weekend "hopefully" been sick.
Sucks being in a double wide lol. Then i will get a 75g long.

I do have a website, there is currently nothing on it. I had a problem with the checkout process and I cost me alot of money in errors. lol. Howdy all!

Broadcasting live on a dial-up connection in the middle of nowhere southeast of Garrison, Texas. Although I haven't had an aquarium for four years, I've had them and been around them for 18 years or so. I've worked with virtually every facet of fish keeping save for planted aquariums and that will be my next project once I get a few things lined out.

I found this forum on Craiglist yesterday and thought I'd check it out. Looking good so far!

What's up everyone.. I am new to this. And have a lot to learn about salt water aquariums.. I am in the middle of switching my fresh water aquarium to salt water. It's a 46 gallon bow front. (Will post pics later)

Any suggestions? I have rocks, but need a descent filter that is less maintenance and quiet. I'm looking to add fish like Clowns. I am doing this for my kids. lol

By the way.. I found this on Craigslist. So I figured I'd join. Plus, I love aquariums..!!

If you had them rocks in freshwater, I would suggest chunking them and not adding to the salt tank. I'm sure you have medicated or added something to the fresh that will eventually leach into the salt. Best to start everything fresh with salt water, especially if you plan on keeping any kind of shrimp, coral or any delicate fish encluding clown. I would suggest you do a lot of reading before attacking saltwater, it is a great rewarding hobby but you do need to know all about it before diving in. There are lots of good articles out there about salt and lots of good reading, do your research and it will pay big time in the end. Just remember that nothing in freshwater pertains to salt.

If you need help, ask on this forum, lots of good people here willing to assist.

Sorry I have not online for a while. I am very new for this hobby, so I bravely started 10 fresh water , 50g fresh water, and 55g saltwater tanks by buying stuff from the craglist.

Just wanted to throw in my welcome to all of the new members!!

We are from Longview! Just to give ya'll some heads up you may get comments from me, my husband or my 10 yr old daughter. We all have a thousand questions as we have not been in the hobby very long. Oh we have a 55 reef tank.
