Website Remodel
So I remodeled Mike's website www.buildmytank.com
His new address is www.thecoralshop.com
If you saw it before, let me know if you like it better! You should also know it's not complete yet... and I'm trying to get him to let me change the "www.TheCoralShop.com" logo in the middle. He requested I use papyrus... and I did, but I don't like it! lol

Re: Website Remodel
Hi Matt. As a non coral person I liked it, thought it showed the product clearly, nice teaser shots scrolling through to whet the appetite.
A couple of observations if I may, and I know it's not finished.
Being a tradionalist I like there to be a HOME tab, so I can get back to the beginning.
As I don't know anything about the company, if I were considering buying I would like an ABOUT tab, letting me know the experience of the business owner in keeping corals.
To cater to the environmentalists, perhaps something about the source of the stock (All tank reared looks so comforting, compared to Corals of the world were raped for your own keeping pleasure).
I didn't see a phone number, even though it says "give us a call".
Also I didn't see a location of where the business is, again to online buyers, knowing not just who, but where the business is, gives more confidence to the buyer when they consider giving their C. card details.
It's still work in progress, so many of these are probably on your to-do list.
But again I re-iterate that as a site I like the lay out and the ease of seeing the selection available.
As for the Papyrus ... it seems to be one of the "in" fonts presently. It doesn't offend, but it is very much "another coral webiste" font I agree.

Re: Website Remodel
Home tab is done.
About us is in the plans, no content so it's hidden currently.
Location is in the plan, once again no content so hidden.
I'll ask him about the source... it's not tank raised... so that may not be broadcast.
I'll ask him about a phone number also. If he doesn't want to put it up I'll at least get the "give us a call" off of there.
Thanks for the great insight and ideas!
