I'm looking at a 60" AquaticLife T-5 fixture (224 watts) for my 60" long x 13" wide x 24" deep 77 gallon Oceanic. Y'all think this would do for softies and lps ?

I'd really like to go with LEDs but I must confess that I have to plead stupidity about all the options . I can wire a ceiling fan or a new light fixture but that's about the extent of my electrical knowledge. Rolling Eyes

Siberman I'm calling you out! I have yet to see a pic of your tank. Is it better if I just say please? Very Happy Oh, yeah I'm not sure if those lights will be good but I've seen some nice T-5 tanks up to 24" deep. I think it would be ok for softies, LPS deep and you probably could even throw a few sps up top.

Nothing sux more than visitors when your house is dirty. Embarassed

I got lazy with my maintenance and lighting . I finally finished a cyano bloom and am now in the middle of a hair algae / waving hand anthelia explosion so please forgive me if I don't post a recent pic.

Here's one from 2 years ago:

I have that fixture but in the 48" 6 bulb, 3 10K and 3 actinic plus 4 duel moons, and tank is 60"x24"24" and it works perfect, I also added 2 of the 12" Panorama Blue LED lights to enhance the colors.
Everything is very Happy and growing, Have Acros and Other Hard corals at top and they are doing great. Montis and chalices are growing great and perfect for the Softies.
