Experience with marinedepot! Empty Experience with marinedepot!

Something I thought should be passed around fore those who do not think about security when shopping online! I was placing a marinedepot order the other day and I am very particular about site security and marinedepot has always been a very secure site but on this particular day I noticed the security lock was on my browser as usual but as I got to the part of the checkout where you put in payment info the lock went away completely. This is unusual because if security is not up to par the lock will just display as open. Well I thought maybe my windows 7 was messing with my head so I got on one of our other computers with windows xp and the lock was there but when I got to the point of adding info at checkout, the lock disappeared again. I called customer service and they said not to worry their site was secure but could not tell me why my lock was disappearing so I just gave up and ordered what I needed from Amazon.com. Anyway, I thought about it today and went back to Marinedepot and started an order and was able to get all the way through checkout and the lock stayed there and locked, I didn't place the order but I'm telling you something was up the other day so when you are doing online shopping ALWAYS check for the security lock on your browser, it is at the top on win 7 to the right of the address bar and at the bottom of win xp, it should be there and locked when you are giving personel info in a checkout, if its not, do like I did and go somewhere else. I think marinedepot had a problem that day with their security, thats how identity gets stollen!
