Check out strawberry crabs also. Very similar but seems like less issues. Some purple prefer them. I almost never see mine... Also, I believe petco in longview sells them.

Picked up an Emerald at petco today. I have had no issues with Emeralds, they always work good for me. I recently got those Kaleidoscope clove polyps and putting them in my bright lights they have some type of filamentous algae between the polyps and rather than pick it out by hand I will let the Emerald do it.

Hmmm... maybe I should switch mine out. Would love for my strawberry to do work like that instead of tweezers!

Yeah, thats why the Emeralds have the round flat tips on their claws, its for pulling out algae and they do a fine job on the hard to get stuff. I had two but guess they died from lack of algae to eat or age one. I always saw them mostly at night roaming the rock. Funny thing is I never saw a body or a shell, nothing!
