Open Bottom Tanks anyone?
At some point in the next few years I hope to move the wife and I out of an apartment and into a home, that being said I've been putting a wishlist together for a possible showtank. I've seen a few vids like the one I've posted and wanted to get some of y'all's opinions, this seems like a really cool design and the aparent waterflow could make it a snap to clean and maintain. Anybody had any experience with these types of tanks?

I've seen that too, and when the nano comp was announced, was wondering about the possibility of creating a FW nano version to take on all the glorious SW tanks.
The principle is easy, my concern was how to maintain suitable water movement in the upper tank (probably by a small powerhead), but not introduce any air bubbles over time.
But I would love to have a go one day too.

That's a neat idea. I remember seeing that vid years ago and thinking it was cool. For me the space and money would be better spent on a conventional tank. But given the same base tank I' rather do a paludarium with a 3D background that extends out of the tank.
