Brand new to marine aquariums in Lview
Hi ETAK! I'm a new member in the Longview area. I've only had my 29g up and running about 8 weeks now with a few dams and clowns added this last week. I've gotten a few cleaners and think I finally got my rock where I want it. Headed to China for the next few weeks with work but when I get back I want to add some interesting friends. I am glad to have found this forum. I've been reading like crazy since I joined last week. The one cool thing I have seen about aquarium keepers is that they will bend over backwards to help people. Thank you in advance for your help.
Here is my tank so far (hope the pic shows). I know this looks bare so far but.....

Welcome to ETAK! :-)
Cool tank! I like your black sand. What are your future plans? Planning on starting out with soft corals or a fish only with live rock?

Definitely going coral and I'm jonesing to get started but I am not ready or set up for it yet. It truly is an addictive hobby though. Just learning about it can be overwhelming though.

If you haven't checked out the 'new to saltwater' thread it is in the reef discussion forum at the top of the page. It has tons of articles and information. Ask any questions you want and always ask about something before you buy it. Many of us may have what you are looking for or know where you can get it cheaper. I've got some soft coral you should be able to keep when you are ready, so keep us updated! :-)

Welcome.
Hope you enjoy China, it's a really interesting country to visit, especially if you haven't been there before.

Thanks for the welcome. As a follow up to Matt earlier, the black sand is an Aragonite. I like it because it was more coarse than other other sands and really help to settle my tank.
