Works good on my 20long, but there really isn't much o a bioload. Its More than enough for a twenty gal tank i think, but id buy a dif one if i could do it all over again, like one of the coralife ones, i notice the skimmate is much dryer. Still think the seaclone is way better than my prizm even after i had to get a better valve to regulate the airflow.

How did you mod yours? Turn out for the better?

Well I searched all over the internet. then did 3 things

1 cut inner tube to 3 inches

2 adding airstone (wooden) into the bottom chamber

3 connecting air tube directly in to the pump

It took very long time, but it turn out good.
Bubble much smaller and stabilized in the reaction chamber. If you have one and love DIY , you might try it. It fun to have some project with cheap toys.

Does it have to have that three inch tube? I had actually pondered removing it entirely thinking that would increase the time the bubbles were in the collumn since it looks like it wastes about half the tube when there is no mod.... ?

How does that airline you used get employed? Would lovee a pic or two

I just clean the cup , but I will take some pic after the cup is full.

I tried many different ways, and it seems leave a 3 inches will increase the bubbles reacting time in the bottom chamber.

by the way I forget to mention that I use rubber band seal the cup into the inner tube.

I will post the pics soon.

Your skimmate look pretty wet. Mine comes out a thick dark greenish brown. Maybe too much air?
