cleaning algae

amyone know of a good way to clean old dry algae off the glass??

i got an old 55 gal covered in nasty dry algae

Fill it with water and add a strong bleach, scrub it with a sponge, just make sure you rinse it well after with a garden hose to get rid of any bleach. This always worked for me. Fill it with water first and let it sit overnight then add the bleach and stir it up good and let it sit for a couple of hours then scrub. With a 55g I would use about four or five gallons of Clorox bleach, non scented, the regular cheap stuff.

White vinegar is supposed to work well. Also a razor blade scraper is good.

Getit wet so it gets soft then Razor it.

ok i let ot sit up all night full of water sluldnt be bad now

Better use the bleach, it will cut your cleaning time in half!
