How long can a tank be without power? going on 2 hours and company said it would be fixed by 12....it's 12:18 and I'm getting nervous...

being that its warm out, the temp shouldnt drop very fast. the main concern to me would be the oxygen levels. one thing i have done (not sure if it helped) was doing a water change. When pouring the water back into the tank, I poured it in pretty fast to disturb the surface quite a bit to replicate normal agitation. Like I said , I'm not sure it helped but its better than nothing.

Battery operated air pump. A must have in E.Texas. I heard a guy that had a power inverter for his car... parked next to a window and ran an extension cord to his tank with the car running... for hours.

Glad to see you got your power back but do yourself a favor : go to the fishing department in Wal-Mart / K-Mart/ whatever and buy one of those battery-powered pumps used to keep minnows alive. They're life savers. Wink

Approx 6 hours lol did drain a gallon n repour and stirred a little but everything alive n well
