Pit bull attack!
Hey guys, my older Brother was out walking his Chihuahua this morning before he went to work and a Pit Bull attacked him! Bit all the way through his left hand and bit him several times in his upper arm and tore his shirt completely off. He saw the Pit coming at him and jerked the little Chi up by the leash and under his right arm, luckily the Pit never got hold of the little Chi. He lives here in Marshall, I just spoke with him and he said he was hurting but would be ok. He went to the emergency room and was taken care of there. Police and city pound took the dog for ten day observation, hopefully he don't have rabies!

His hand is swollen like crazy and he can't move his arm, they couldn't stitch him up because it needs to drain, he is on multiple antibiotics and will be sore for several days but he will be ok, just hope the dog is negative for rabies. Gotta give him credit though, he wasn't giving up the little Chihuahua.

Dang... I'm not a pit bull fan. Just hate stories like this. I'm concerned for your brother, but man I'm really glad it wasn't a kid. I'm glad to hear he'll recover!

Re: Pit bull attack!
I know many over here see it as "Nanny State" style of government, but this is why the Pitbull was banned in the UK after several attacks.
Anyone that owned one had to have it neutered if the wanted to keep them. And any Pitbull's seen would be inspected by the police. Even so, the pitbull crossbreeds still exist and still cause injuries.
Fingers crossed your brother gets to hear soon that the dog was given the all clear.

Hope he's ok , Donnie. Too many irresponsible owners will lead to the eventual ban of the breed. My neighbor's kept several aggresive dogs over the years and I let him know PDQ that the first one on my property won't make it back.

Yeah, he knew the owner but the dog had gotten out of the fenced yard. The owner told him that he would take care of any expenses. And just think, the owner told him that the dog played with the grandkids all the time. My neighbor has a Pitt Bull that is nice as can be but we all know that eventually it will probably jump someone too, its just their nature and I agree with Yeti's country , all Pitts should be banned in my opinion, they are not trustworthy as a breed. I spoke with my Brother a few minutes ago and he still can't move the arm and said his hand was throbbing. He also said he found two more punctures on his shoulder up by his neck.
