Re: Trail Cam Pics
What's the fascination with this branch? Three different bucks all sniffing the same branch.
I got a couple of pics of the buck in the last pic. He's a solid 9 or maybe 10 point.
The bucks are really starting to get active.
Check out this BEAST!

Gabe
Those are called licking tree's, the deer leave their scent on them, I have one right in front of my stand and every buck that comes through has to stop and check it out. They leave scent on them, its just another calling card like a scrape, but it seems all the bucks use the same one unlike a scrape. I coulda busted a big one yesterday afternoon, he was a good 2" past his ears but it was late and I just couldn't tell for sure how many points and I wasn't gonna waste my tag on an 8 point when I got that one with the drop tine running around in there.

Re: Trail Cam Pics
I always wondered. I almost popped a 8 point the year I shot the 14 point while it was licking the same branch. I'm glad I didn't but it's funny to watch those deer turn their heads straight up and lick a branch. I've seen them doing it while I was sitting there but I've never caught it on camera so much in a couple of days.

Some oldies but goodies.
This deer was hit by my cousin's arrow and survived. He bagged it later during gun season.

Re: Trail Cam Pics
Those are some good ones Gabe! If you want to keep them coons off your feeder, pick up some carpet tack strip and wire it to the legs, guarantee they won't climb them anymore.

Cracks up!!
What a wonderful solution, I want to see the trail pic of the day they find the defences.
(I wish the comp would not keep reminding me that I spell in English and not American, down side of a Mac, it doesn't have English English spelling)
