Re: New Biocube 29
That looks really nice and clean. Going to be a great build. Cleaner than mine I guarantee! Haha.
I did mine from rapidled for 20% off. Ended up spending $250 as well. Should have saved some money though... I ended up sticking with the stock fans. So I've got 8 extra leds and two extra fans.

Re: New Biocube 29
I was close to going with them and then got the 20% off email and decided to just go for it. I'll guarantee you saved tons of time and worry buying them assembled like that. Those are really nice! Keep us updated! :-)

Re: New Biocube 29
Was able to work on my led upgrade today got it wired up everything tested OK. Stripped down the hood and mounted leds was also able to use the Biocube moon lights. Everything went fairly smooth the hardest part for me was soldering the eight leads from the 4 led strings and that was mainly due to my old eyes, but I finally felt my way through it. Everything I needed to know was in the directions just had to read through them several times to make sure I understood how it all went together, a few pictures would have been a big help for me, but once done I'm happy with the results.

Re: New Biocube 29
Latest tank update clean up crew has been at work for one week, Johns recommendation from Reefcleaners.org :
20 Dwarf Cerith
10 Fla. Cerith
6 Nassarius
4 Large Nerite
8 Sm-Med Nerite
That is what I paid for actually got almost double the snails, they have really gone to work on the small amount of algae that I have.
Latest tank parameters:
Temp 77º
S/G 1.025
Ammonia 0.0 ppm (API Test)
Nitrite 0.0 ppm (API)
Nitrate 0.0 ppm (Red Sea Kit)
Phosphate .08 (Red Sea Kit)
Mg. 1280ppm (Red Sea Kit)
Alk 7.8 dkh (Red Sea Kit)
Calcium 300 ppm (Red Sea Kit)
From what I have read Phosphate is high & Alkalinity, and Calcium are low what should I do to adjust these numbers and what is your suggestion for my next move as for as fish or coral. Thanks for everyone's help.

Your alk is fine but the calcium is low. What brand of salt are you using?

That will raise your calcium pronto. The rest of your numbers look good.

Thanks alot Grimreefer...Its been a fun project so far Thanks to all the help I've gotten from the forum.
I have 5 gallons of water mixing up now with Reef Crystals Salt, will do a water change this evening and see where I'm at on my tank paramaters. Getting excited about moving on to the next phase. Thanks again everyone!

You're ready for fish now! :-)
I can't wait to see this guy mature. Those LEDs are beautiful and you seem to be very patient... which is a very good sign that you'll be successful with this!

Looking good! I'm a fan of the Tomato Clowns. Underrated fish IMO. What kind of corals are you planning on keeping?

Thanks Jeff & Ritter... As for corals still not sure one reason I went ahead and made the light upgrade was so I could keep pretty much anything thinking I will start out with a zoathid also suggestions would be appreciated. Here is a shot of the new goby.

Re: New Biocube 29
Terry- I have a few good starter pieces with your name on them when your ready. JLMK
Zoas, Monticap & Green Birdsnest all would do well. Since your in a Nano, you'll want to shy away from aggressive growing corals.
