No way it was 36 degrees like the pic says though. Not sure what's up with that. As long as it takes good pics I don't care what the temp says. That deer looks healthy but the other deer I got pics of were very thin. You could see the ribs on lots of them.

I shot a nice wieght doe saturday evening but didnt see any bucks saw eight does and a spike which is really good for where i hunt. Behind my dads on about 10 acres but have some nice woods around me guess when all the grass is dead they will search out the feeders and there is a spring fed pond close by. That is a nice early buck just got my cam up this weekend will hopefully have a few nice ones to post

Jeff, it's a nice boat, but don't you think that Camo paint job is so 1990's.

I was thinking maybe electric blue paint, some nice party lights, a good set of woofers and tweeters, and of course a full size cooler.
And just think, no lake cop would stop you to ask to see your hunting licence, so it would save you money!

You're the second person to say that in as many days! may have to take into consideration.

Maybe a reef scene wrap around the whole boat! Ducks won't know what hit them!

With the drought in Texas, just paint it dirt brown, that way it will blend in anywhere!

Man, them coons cost us a lot of money every year, they get up there and spin the feeder and dump the corn out. Between coons and hogs it a wonder the Deer ever get a meal. Them little buggers will even open up the battery compartment and rip out the wiring, kinda like having a squirrel in the attic! I like the coyote pic better.

Great pic Donnie! I know some hunters who would shoot them on site. I'm not of that "Crowd". If I'm not going to eat it... it walks.

I agree, I don't shoot Coyotes, Bobcats, Foxes, hell I haven't even shot a Hog yet, I have lots of Bobcats and foxes but hey, they aint bothering me.I usually see mabe one Hog a year but all I have on my hills are single boars that are huge and if I shot one I wouldn't know what to do with it. I know they distroy a lot of Deer habitat but I don't see enough to worry about. I was tempted to shoot a dang Skunk last year, every morning I was going to my stand before daylight I would run into this Skunk, after about six runins he dissapeared thank goodness, they are hard to see in the dark without a light. Here's a pic of a Bobcat I used to see every day.

Just seeing that while in my stand would make my whole season. It's those moments that make hunting worth while.. I always managed to bag a decent buck.. but never found it necissary to enjoy myself.

Few pics from the trail cam today, I got lots of deer, lots of bucks but no monsters yet. I even got cows, never had them before, they don't belong on my place, if they stick around I might put some beef in the freezer Twisted Evil Even got one hog, don't see many of them up there either.

They were a pain around my Grandpa's farm so we didn't have any problems taking them out. I don't bother the ones down at the deer camp anymore. I've only seen one pack of them anyway and I shot this one out of the group.

Good pics Donnie. I'll trade you frags for Briskets. Very Happy

Ha Ha, I might need your help loadin' one in the truck. I figure they are probably someones cows that got out because of the fire up there, it burned up to within 1/4 mile of my place and burned about 2 or 3 thousand acres, it was the fire in Marion county they named the Monterey Lake fire close to the Louisiana line. In one of the pics the cows were running to the east down the power line, I figured someone was calling them. I only got pics of the cows that one day and I had 388 pics taken since last Friday. Speaking of the coyotes, I have a friend that had his camera out during the spring and it had a pic of a Coyote with a deer fawn in its mouth.

I want to see this big boy during season, He was to close to the camera to get a good look but he looks to be a nice one. Note in the second picture how fat he is, the drought has not bothered him much, lots of meat on them hams!
