I personally would not. I've read they can be amazing, but in order to be efficient they need to be quite large. If I had a large display with a huge area for filtration (fish room behind tank or basement sump area) I might consider implementing one, but I'll never consider it when space is limited by a stand.

I myself, have only heard the term "Algae Scrubber" only recently.. I don't think it's a new thing though. But apparently little used. If the practice/ benefits were that great, I believe we would have been hearing alot more about them and more reefers would be implementing them. I'm still playing catch up in other areas that have proven benefits. That's where I'll concentrate my time & money.
