Re: Ritter's 75 Gallon Reef
Well it's coming down! Over 3 years I've had this tank set up and now I'm upgrading to a 140! I moved it across the room yesterday to make space for the new tank. It's sad for me to take it down since it's been there so long but I know the new tank will be better! Final pics!

Gabe, the tank looks fantastic! Good luck on the new larger version I know you will have it looking as sweet as the 75 in no time.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I'll be starting a new build on here soon. I don't even have the tank yet but I'm getting it today. I already have the rock.

Re: Ritter's 75 Gallon Reef
Well the upgrade didn't work out so I'm sticking with this 75! I moved it back to it's original place and removed the 3+ year old sandbed in the process. It's not completely BB but it's close. I'm loving it already. I can see improvements in my sps growth after removing 3 year old funky sand. I also added 2 Vortech wireless mp10s to the back wall in addition to the Koralia 4s I already had in there. This tank is really rocking and there's no lack of flow at all. About 80x turnover in this tank now not counting the return pump.
2 mp10s on full blast, short pulse, anti-sync and 2 Koralia 4s.

Everyone except my Blue Spot Watchman Goby. He's a rather angry fellow. Down right mean I say.

Re: Ritter's 75 Gallon Reef
About time we had an update on your tanks isn't it Tony?
I always love looking at your tanks, as in, a plate of smoked salmon, cream cheese, bagels, nice chilled bottle of champagne, some good music, and a comfy chair to relax and enjoy just taking in your tank.

Few words could be said that is a greater compliment than this. Very true.

Re: Ritter's 75 Gallon Reef
I really like the snowflake, as for the rest of the tank......it just keeps getting better and better.
Question. Do you have any issues with keeping the glass clean at the base, where you have your colonies very close to the glass? Or do you have to get wet, move them, scrape, and replace. Like I do.

Re: Ritter's 75 Gallon Reef
Thanks guys. It's impossible for me to get a good photo with these LEDs.
Yeti, nothing is close enough to the glass that I can't clean it with a mag float or a scraper when coraline takes over.
John, I use 120w evolution LEDs.

Re: Ritter's 75 Gallon Reef
I dosed the tank with fluke tabs to kill the blue clove polyps. After one day the polyps are already on the retreat.
I haven't seen these zoas in forever. There are zoas that I forgot I had that I can see again already and some type of sps living under the cloves that showed up.
My cleaner shrimp died but other than that there are no other losses.
