Newbie but not so newbie
Hi everyone!
Glad to find a local forum for aquarists!
I am getting back into aquarium keeping after a long 25 year hiatus. I had a 58 show fish only marine tank back in the days of UGFs and when LR and reefs were only for the professionals. Boy has this hobby changed over the years!
Anywho, I'm getting equipment together to start a 125 gallon FOWLR and sure I will have lots of questions for you experts out there.
Glad to be here!
Steve
125 gallon build in progress.

Welcome to the forums! I'll be jealous of all the fish you'll be able to keep without corals in the tank! :-)

Oh man that tank is insane. I love all of the bottles and everything. I swear he's got to have a huge stinkin skimmer hidden on that thing somewhere. lol.
Well tell us what your equipment plans are Steve. Maybe even start a build thread for your tank. With pictures... lots of pictures... we all LOVE pictures. Haha.

Welcome Digger! Once you get your FOWLR set up and running it won't take anything to complete it as a reef.

Re: Newbie but not so newbie
No I don't see a reef in my future. Doesn't matter to me. I think they are cool. The wife on the other hand likes a lot of fish. So to keep her interested and agreeing to this expensive hobby, it'll just be a FOWLR .
I'm looking for a 55 gallon to use as a sump/refugium with a skimmer, live rock rubble, DSB, and some chaeto. Plumb in my dyi hob overflow. I'm ready to get started.
Look for my tank build thread. And I promise lots of pictures.
