1900 gallon pond
8' x 12' x 3' deep. Built by lining the hole with black liner then building the deck around it. It was home to about a dozen koi (including a female butterfly as long as my arm) until it turned over 2 years ago and I lost everything overnight.
It's surrounded by flower beds and is now home to a small school of assorted sunfish (including my personal best bluegill that now eats from my hand) , 1 rainbow trout , gambusia , shiners and 2 channel cats. In the past I've raised several species of fw tropicals in there during the warmer months. I had a giant danio reach 7" and an opaline gourami get almost eating size.
To the right is a waterfall I constructed of a stock tank , toilet flange , liner and flagstones. It's down right now 'cause the freakin' rodents keep climbing up under the liner and chewing on it ; causing it to leak.

Re: 1900 gallon pond
Now that's nice. This will be one of my projects once I retire from reef keeping. I just don't want to put gold fish and koi in there like everyone does. I also live in the country around several lakes/ponds/creeks and we are snake infested already so I'm not interested in bringing anymore closer to the house. My plan for mine will be totally enclosed with screen and I'll keep ducks in there too. I used to raise mallards and wood ducks and would like to keep some exotics like mandarin ducks...maybe someday.
