I bought this anemone from petco under the tag of "assorted carpets" but I don't think that the id the sales girl gave me was right... can you ID it please? there is also a link to my photobucket with other images

It is a carpet Anemone but its a maxi-mini carpet. It will probably work its way down to the bottom and attach where the rocks sit on the sand. They need good lighting and will color up under pc or leds.They are very hardy but they also have a powerful sting to fish and inverts. I would'nt plan on keeping any Blennies or Gobies with them. Anything that touches them is pretty much toast. Just search Maxi-mini and you will find lots of info. They come in some fantastic colors that you probably wont see at Petco. Here is a pic of one I had until I had to change out tanks.

Ok...Thanks Donnie. I hate when I don't follow my instincts and trust what the sales people tell me....since you know, they are usually supposed to be knowledgeable about what they are caring for and selling. guess they seen me coming from a mile away Friday.
