How do you get rid of red slime algae in saltwater please help

Use an airline tube and a tooth brush to knock out what is built up.. As you brush off the algae, hold the siphon close and try to get as much as possible.. It's most likely cyano bacteria and comes from a lack of good flow or an immature system..You might want to consider adding a powerhead or moving some rocks or your outflow pipes around to get better water movement.. I actually have one on my planted tank now and I like it for what I got it for. Mine is to fight any possible bacterial infections that could occur because of some of the more delicate fish I have.
The thing with UV sterilizers are are that they only can kill what is free floating in the water column, like microbial diseases, some fungus, and algae that causes discoloration or cloudiness in the water. In the case of cyano, it is a algae that builds up in areas that have poor water flow, therefore it will most likely not be kicked up, pulled into the sterilizer, and killed. So for this particular algae, it is best to spot treat, adjust the flow, and watch your nitrates, and phosphates which are the major food sources for algae in any aquarium.
If you're considering getting a sterilizer for algae maintenance, you might want to work on watching your photoperiod, not overfeeding, staying on top of your water changes, and look into a phosban or GFO reactor for algae control if you're having trouble controlling your phosphate levels. I could go days and days about algae and the improper balance of any tank, so if you have any issues just let us know!
