I have three chips in my tank that I just noticed as I was wiping the hand prints off my tank. pale No clue where they came from unless it was that way when I got it off the guy. Anyways it looks like it is pulling away at the corner. Let me put you here.... If you are standing in from of my 65 gallon tank, about 1" down from the plastic on the left top side there is a chip between the side glass and the front. The chip is on the from piece of glass but on the joint side. about a half in. down there are two more. Same deal. It looks like the silicone in the joint has bubbles. It doesn't leak but how have I let this slip by. Is there a fix for this or should I not panic?

hard to tell without seeing a pic. if its not leaking you might be ok, but keep an eye on it and see if it looks like it is getting worse.

I take it this tank is fully set up ? If so , I'd probably not worry about it other than keeping an eye on it and maybe starting a smaller tank ( use it for quarantine ) so you'll be prepared for emergencies.

You can lower the water level enough to get sealant on the "leak" but then you have to deal with the negative effects of fumes being introduced to the tank via venturies , etc. Plus, it's better (IMHO) to re-seal the entire joint from top to bottom than just do a patch job.

Expect the best but prepare for the worst.

I've seen some very nice "Marine print" Duct tape in the Hobby Stores!

The tank is fully set up and I have a 10 gallon running right now with nothing in it. It would have to be a very short term home for my live stock but its better than nothing. Im really hoping nothing happens to my tank though. I looked up some videos on adding a piece of glass on both sides in the corner that separates, if it separates. I dont guess that would look to bad if I did both sides and turned it to the back. Duct tape will be the last resort, but not cast out ha ha. I will be relocating my tank to my man cave soon anyways so maybe that would be a good time to tinker with it.

Resealing a tank that size is not that bad.. just prepare to have it empty for two days. Honestly, if it hasn't leaked yet.. I doubt it will.
