I have found one of these in mine also. Very small one though. I'm interested in finding out what this guy is and if it is safe or not safe.

Bristle worm. Harmless and the best cleanup crew you can have.

Re: WHAT IS THIS WORM ????
Ritter , you didnt complete the story !!!
Harmless to your tank = yes
Harmless to you = NO
If one gets a hold of you it will be a bad day. They release all of the little bristles into your skin, by the hundreds. You CAN NOT pull them out with tweezers. The way I had to get them out was by running extremely hot water over my hand (to the point where I could barely stand the temp of the water) that made the bristles soft enough for duct tape to get most of them out. The rest were there for good and I had to wait for them to work themselves out. my finger was swolen, and I had little tiny bumps all over my finger where the remaining ones were. The itching was TERRIBLE, but it was something you want to scratch - not comfortable.
they wont hurt your tank, unless they get super huge like 10" range then they take on a predatory role on coral and weak fish. They are one of the best members of your CUC , but keep them away from you.

Southernlost : if it looks like either of these, then it is a Spaghetti worm
Harmless, nothing to worry about. If it isnt this one try to get a pic, there are so many different "reef worms" we could guess for a year.

Re: WHAT IS THIS WORM ????
My guess would be a vermitid snail. They send out a web of mucus to feed. Not too big of a problem unless u get a bunch of them. The mucus nets can irritate corals a bit.

Spaghetti worms don't build tubes and are usually yellow/orange in color (IME) . I've seen the one in the top pic before but can't remember the name. So many worms , so little time.
