I took you guys advise and I "choot" it this afternoon. This is not the ten point I saw yesterday but a nine point but his body was huge, he was well over 200 pounds, shoulda seen me and the Wife loadin' him in the truck!

You guys are hilarious, Yeti, I gave it to my Son, he is crazy about Deer meat, so I will just get a few steaks from him. I wasn't the only one that got a nice buck yesterday, if he wants to post a pic here, I hate cell phone pics.

Mine's not as good as Donnie's but it's alright. Got this one about 5 minutes before end of shooting hours.

I don't know Gabe, they look pretty close to me! Both were nice bucks. Pretty cool we both got em the same evening. Funny thing was right after I shot mine, I looked to my left and there was another about the same size standing just past my green patch. My Wife had a blast sitting with me. Strange thing though, this buck was big and swollen neck like he was rutting but his rear hocks were clean as a whistle and he had absolutely no rut smell, how about yours, did he have the typical rut smell with stained hocks? I am finding rutting very sparatic this year, I guess because of the drought but the drought didn't bother my bucks weight, dang he was heavy.

Yeah, mine had the big swollen neck along with the smell and stains. This one was in full rut. The smell was pretty tough when we were hauling him out. I got him quartered up and iced down at the house. I still have to cut it up into steaks and make ground meat. I wasn't up to it last night but I'll knock it all out today.

Man, I can't believe you'd give up all that good meat.

Made some Jalapeno summer sausage and maple breakfast sausage today. We had chicken fried steaks for dinner Saturday night. I made the rest into ground hamburger and we'll cook the tenderloins and backstrap BBQ'd on the grill. I made about half of Jaiden's deer into smoked sausage sticks and the rest into steaks. We'll be eating deer meat for a while.

That looks TERRIBLE! When you get sick of that crap call me. ;-)

That does look good Gabe but I got burned out on Venison years ago, I just don't care for it much anymore but I got lots of family and friends that love it, especially the summer sausage.

+1 on deer meat.. no burn out here
