Is anyone around here making their own phytoplankton or ever tried making their own? I have been doing some reading and thought about trying it in the future.

Never done it myself, but I have researched it and considered doing it in the future.

Should be a pretty basic process, but I'm just not dedicated enough to messing with it every single day. Lol. Here's some links I had put together on the subject though.

If it were me I'd do a large container like marc lists on the bottom of the melevsreef webpage and install an RODI "bulkhead" thing on the bottom with a valve, then I'd just drain half from that, fill it back up with saltwater and add more miracle grow. Matter of fact... once I get everything up and running I might actually try it that way. I always was imagining myself pouring half a bottle of green crap into a tiny two liter, spilling it all over the place and being ticked off. Lol.
