problem with coral?? what is it
what on earth is this on the bottom of both of these corals?? looks like they are trying to die what do yall think

can algea create a problem because it does have a little bit at the bottom of each of them but the gfo is getting rid of alot pretty quick

I was about to say... I can't tell for sure from the pics but it looks like algae is causing them to recede.

First thing that I would do would be put some super glue around the dead part. This will prevent it from spreading up, and the coral should encrust over the superglue faster than it would encrust over the old skeleton. Of course the biggest thing is to keep doing what you've already started, lower your nutrients and phosphates. If the algae is already receding, just keep it up! :-)
