External vs Internal Sump Pump
After my disaster trying to drill my sump tank, I'm having to change from an external to an internal sump pump.
Here is what I was going with...
PanWorld 100PXX
Here is what I'm thinking about going with...
Eheim 1262
Aside from the obvious difference, would they be comparable? Does anyone have a better suggestion?
My main concerns are heat generation and reliability.

Re: External vs Internal Sump Pump
I think the Eheim would do a great job. They're reliable for sure. Obviously internal will add more heat than external, but that's unlikely to matter. Are you running a closed top? High heat lighting trapped in a canopy? The combination of several things might lead to a hot tank, but the internal pump along should be fine.
Your head loss will be fine as well. You should be running about 600gph through the sump... so right at a 5x turnover of your display tank volume. That's great for a FOWLR, but you'll need some powerheads in the tank still.
Can't wait to see more progress. :-)

Re: External vs Internal Sump Pump
I figure my overflow is rated for around 800-850gph. Should I just dial back the overflow using the ball valve that I will install and go with the Eheim 1262 or go with two smaller Eheims and setup a double return. Would also double for redundancy.
As far as circulation, I think I got that covered. I have two Koralia Evo 1400s and one Koralia Evo 750.
This is frustrating. With all the preparation, not much is happening with the DT.
