29 gal bio cube
Hello, I'm getting back into saltwater after about 5 years off. I lived in Dallas and found stores to be numerous over there and to my suprise started shopping here and didn't find much..
I'm starting with a stock bio cube that I actually picked up for 149. at Petsmart in Longview. I just couldn't pass that up. I plan on adding LEDS later. I'm currently running a eshopps nano overflow with a maxi 1100 utility pump that I also plan an upgrade for soon. I have a 20l tank that I or should I say my wife turned into a sump/refugium for me. I will get sand and rock from Marco Rocks this week and will go from there. Any suggestions would be welcome.[img][/img]

I've already purchased marco rocks and it should be here sometime this week. Now I'm just looking for some sand to seed my tank with.

Re: 29 gal bio cube
I used this old bench I got at the antique store as a stand. I added extra wood to support everything..
I added sand last night and got a major sandstorm.
This morning when I woke up.. Still stirred up but looking a little better.
tonight I will try and plumb my return without using the 90 and hopefully not have to upgrade pumps. I'll be getting 17lbs of rock to seed my Marco rocks from the place in florida mentioned above.

Were you running your powerhead or pump whilst you added the sand?

I got my LED lights last weekend and installed them. I also got the florida live rock in to mix with my marco rock. Got everything running now and I guess the waiting game starts. I'm getting the ugly brown stuff all over my rocks so everything is coming along great.

Clean up crew for Tank
I ordered a new return pump that should be in this week. I'm trying to get a mp10 but its turning out to be harder than I thought. My wife is asking why do you need another one? I tell her the mp10 is so much better. She then tells me so you wasted money on something you're not going to use I'm trying to help her understand that having back up stuff in this hobby is very important!
