Oh Jeez.. I really do live in Texas!
Late evening, and I take the mail up to the post box, or whatever you call it. I have my torch (flashlight) and as usual check to see what's on the side o the house.
What the Fr*****ng heck...
So I then look a little more closely.

I take another shot
[img][/img]
And
Think, OH dear, poor spider.
[img][/img]
But then find out that the Yellow Orb will actually catch a Gekko, hence the retreat.
[img][/img][img][/img]
"It's a friendly spider, that kills, mosquitoes, bees and wasp....if bitten it's only life threatening to children and old people!
Dam but I love living in Texas!

We have on right down the road thats strung from the stop sign to the fence.
Bad boy is huge. We have seen one eating a small bird that got cought in the web before. lol
As a child we used to feed one that was on the back of the house everyday. crickets grasshoppers and such.

Never seen those at my house but I was painting my son's room and looked out the window to see a beautiful, healthy black widow.... yay for extremely poisonous spiders in Texas.

I love Garden Spiders! They are awesome! We have one that has set up shop out by our tool shed and we feed it every time we go out to the shed.

I always feed mine but wait until the first time you walk through a web and get one on you.

Went out today to look at it and it started doing its web shake. Now to find a cricket and see if it will take it.

Don't throw it at the center of the web where the zig-zag design is. It's not sticky.
