After the arrival of my daughter in late September, I began setting up my class tank. Thank you shhh for the tank donation!

My 8th grade students have enjoyed watching the guppies in their brackish setup, especially now that guppy fry have appeared. Next thing to add are some male and female fiddler crabs (which is why the water level is below the top of the rocks).

Cool tank man.. So question.. Can guppies be acclimated to saltwater? This might open a set of options in the future

Everything I read say they are less tolerant of full salt than mollies, and their acclimation must be slower. I honestly having been looking for information on guppies in full salinity though, so maybe.

Mollies are more quickly acclimated to marine systems but guppies survive nicely in 1.0 to 1.25 salinity given enough time.
