Question about my water!
Ok, so since i'm new to all this I have tons of questions sorry
Ok so I have a 55 gallon tank. I filled the tank up with tap water. After a couple of days, I realized that I was supposed to treated water, maybe RO or DI. So I went out and bought a treatment and treated my water. Left it sitting there. After another day I added my salt. Most of the salt has dissolved but there is some still sitting at the bottom of tank. The water is also kind of cloudy.
I'm pretty nervous? Is this ok?? Or should I just start over? I don't want to ruin anything. I bought some live sand and by no means do I want to ruin it! It cost to much LOL. So I have NOT put it into the tank.
ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASEEEE Help!

Re: Question about my water!
When you stop by, I'll help you answer some of those question for you. I may have enough cycled saltwater I could give you to get started with.
Re: Question about my water!
Jason will help you out for sure.
Just to be sure... Did you take the tap water out and add in RODI water? Did you use the tap water and then treat it with Prime or a similar product?
RODI water should be used for best results.

Re: Question about my water!
I used tap water and treated it with something I bought from PetSmart
Then I added the salt. The tank is pretty cloudy and there is just a little bit of salt at the bottom

Re: Question about my water!
Ok Guys... I don't walk on water, just put my hands in it! I benefitted from OCD & ADHD... and a very understanding wife! Keep in mind " Nothing good ever happens fast in a Reef Tank".
