Green Slimer Empty Green Slimer

I've seen a few pics of green slimers that have their polyps way out. The ones on my frag come out... but definitely not as far as they're out in a few of the pictures I've seen. Is there a reason their polyps would come out this far? Does it depend on the colony you got it from?

I got my frag from Tony's colony. Are others polyps similar to mine... don't come out real far? Or do I need to move him around in the tank or something? I'd say he is in a moderate light area... half way down the tank, in the corner. He isn't browning or anything... I just love the pics where their polyps are out and wandered if mine could look like that.

Matt
Yours should look something like the pic below, this is my Green Slimer I got from Gabe when it was only 1" tall and no limbs, The polyps have always looked like this.
