Re: 200g Reef Pictorial
Wow.. been awhile since I've added to this thread! Some pics got moved around.. cleaning up the Photobucket acct. I pulled all the black sand yesterday.. I never quite liked what else was available. The black was my best option at the time. But... my favorite sand I could only find on my Dad's beach (Santa Rosa Island). Thanks to Dan for bringing back some while on vacation!

Re: 200g Reef Pictorial
Nice before but amazing how different sand and moving the rocks will change the appearance of the tank. I wish I had a 200 gallon. Lol I will have to work up to that. Awesome tank though!

Re: 200g Reef Pictorial
I could get lost just looking at it. I look at my 65 for hours a day. Find something new it seems like every day. My wife is getting jealous. Ha ha.

Re: 200g Reef Pictorial
Wow Jason, I see why you had your friend bring back the sand, looks great.
Suggestion for a ZoaGarden side business. Place a Laz-e-boy chair in front of the tank, supply hot dogs/pizza/cucumber sandwiches, and then charge by the hour!

Re: 200g Reef Pictorial
It's now December and the 200 is 10 months old. Havn't had any real issues since the unusual HA (Bryopsis?) back in Oct. Suspected Phosphate issues that cleared up with weekly WC's & physical removal. Within the last month or 2 I've significantly reduced my Bio-load. I removed 7 fish, leaving me with: Purple Tang, Regal Tang, Mandarin Goby, Fang Blenny, Black Clown and the biggest Royal Gramma I've ever seen. It's pretty peaceful, but a little too empty. Will add to it when I can. Most everything is looking great... Fish are all looking & acting healthy. SPS are finally showing PE. All have great color and new growth. My jumbo Squamosa still seems to be un-happy and I will move to the frag system soon. It never has gotten over being tormented from the Angel Fish. Going into the Frag system should help.. plus the MH will benefit. Jumbo Derasa looks impressive and rebounded nicely.
My Elegance coral hasn't been happy for the last couple of months either. Performed the standard test.. all showing perfect. Even Calcium (@460) and dKh (@ eight). Not sure what to try with him at this point.
Kinda a "Blog" post, but just some thought to keep up with & look back at.

Jason, have you been feeding the Elegance? Mine always loved a piece of shrimp for each mouth.

Re: 200g Reef Pictorial
Looking good at the meetin. Glad to see the nem and the wrasse were doing well. My 58 has cleared up nicely since the addition of a little more live rock and the explosion of corals that swept through it. Now to frag some of those zoos from ya.
