Worm! Not bristle worm.
I found this worm on my toadstool coral at night I have never seen one like it. Any idea what it is? It is a least a foot long and the head of it is thicker and brighter colored than the rest of the worm.

Does it bother anything in the tank? Does it seem to be nocturnal? Try Meleves: http://www.melevsreef.com/id/crawls.html

Re: Worm! Not bristle worm.
If it's bothering anything it isn't noticeable to me. It comes out only at night and zips back into the rock if the light comes on or camera flashes. I tried Melev's and Chuck's Addiction and didn't see anything similar to it.BigBlue wrote:Does it bother anything in the tank? Does it seem to be nocturnal? Re: Worm! Not bristle worm.
Oenone Fulgida is what was suggested to me. It's a clam and snail eater. This rock was in my 75 with clams and snails so I probably have more. I'm not sure if that ID is correct yet or not, the description of it says that it's orange and my worm is not.

Let me know what you find out.....it is difficult to tell from your picture....but I might have rocks full of those. I thought they were bristle worms.

Dunno. I think I can pull him out by hand but I'm afraid it will break and I'll end up with two. I'm just leaving it there for now. No clams or snails in the tank so maybe it will just die.

There are a lot of DIY bristle worm traps out there that may also work for your critter.
