Hello! From Lubbock (grew up and currently visit Kilgore still)
Hello!
Im David,
I never owned fresh water, but in 2008 when i moved to Lubbock to go back to college, i needed a hobby, and i wanted Salt water.. (yay)
I started with a 55gal tank from walmart Clearance shelf, and it was started.
I currently have a 240gal 8" tank, and a 5" 230gal in the garage i am currently re-building.
when i got my 240 in spring of 09, i set the old 55 up for freshwater (for the wife) and killed 3 sets of freshwater fish, and then killed 1 set of Ciclids... so I WILL NOT KEEP FRESH WATER!!
but i can keep any saltwater fish i have ever had!
I just found out about the club, and wanted to join. (im in Kilgore at least 1 time a month, and maybe 1 day i can make it to a meeting or something! maybe bring down some frags for a swap or something like that! )

Hey, you found us! Welcome!
I hope you don't mind if I post a link to one of your tanks. People get cranky around here with no pictures.

Nice Tank. I like the low profile on the rock wall. I can't wait to get a bigger tank.

Oh hell... I need to be a plumber to go marine. As I watch my Sunshine Male go into mating plumage and glow over a female. I think I'll stay with Cichlids.
My addictive nature cannot afford Cichlids and Marine!!!

Aw come on Yeti, you are going to the dark side eventually, might as well do it now while you got a brand new clean tank! I gotta warn ya tho, once you go salt you never go back.
