I have several pieces and the largest is about 24" high with 8 points ( for the deer hunters here Laughing ) . All have been in a FW tank for at least 10 years.

Question : would these be safe in a reef ? I'm thinking of mounting anthelia , GSP or zoas on them. It would be a lot easier than making concrete rock and much less expensive than Tonga branches.

The plastic ornaments should be just as safe for salt water as fresh, only thing is, has it been exposed to medications for the freshwater fish, especially copper? If you know it hasn't been exposed to chemical treatments it should be just fine and the coralline will probably love it, along with other algaes. Neutral

Haven't used copper since I found out about the effects on inverts . I used to raise apple snails in a Clown Loach tank and have been known to throw a stray crawdad or two into my tanks . Laughing Only medication in this tank was for marine ich ( non-copper) and that was over ten years ago . These particular pieces have only been exposed to straight FW.

I think it'd look pretty cool reaching out across the tank with something like anthelia or the larger palys.

Thanks, Donnie. Wink

It would look cool covered in some Metalic Green Star Polyps too, I love that stuff. I got a frag from Jason about a year ago and it looks awsome, If he still has some of the bright green get a frag from him, if not, I can get you some, its the brightest green I've ever seen.
Here's mine.

Thanks for the offer but I have 'em already. Definately would look good , though, and I wouldn't have to worry about them breaking off and spreading like the anthelias.
