6G Fluval edge tank.
So I guess I'll start my tank log in this section.
Today I made a run over to Longview and then Tyler. Went to J. Davis house to pic up 2 tanks (10G and 37G) along with a nano skimmer and left with that + some nice looking softies. I'll post pics after the finish opening. A big thanks to Jason for the cheap/free hook ups. And if you read this let me know how it goes with that broken PC or if I can help.
Went to LSA and grabbed me some sexies and 2 turbos. 3/4 sexies are being active as should be and one is sulking in the corner. Over all I'm happy with them. I've boughten over 40 Sexies in differnt orders and this is on par with the best. At 9.00 each its cheaper then ordering them online PLUS I can see what I'm buying. The turbos are doing good. One hit the ground eating and already put a good dent in the alge.
I'm giong to have to do some more modding to the edge and might drill a hole in the top corner glass to let the skimmer poke through and silicone it in.
Pics later... If I feel like it.

Re: 6G Fluval edge tank.
Huh.. Well I think me and Matt were the ones that requested the order and I mentioned before hand that 9.00 is the online price from most places. I think LSA will price match on a lot of things. As with any store its the buyers responsibilty to shop the price and try to hagle/price match. =D lol.
I used to walk into the LFS in CA with marine depot already loaded on my phone b/c they would price match. It deffintly slims there profit margin down but I think they respect you for it and count on keeping your business on the bigger orders like equipment.

The lights are KILLING me. But I'm going to set up my new 10g I picked up from jason as a live food tank first. Roti's, mysis and microalgae. Ready to feed and breed.

Looks like a great start, so you don't like the lights, it just adds to the fun of the project, and just think how much more you'll love the look of the tank when you change them!

Re: 6G Fluval edge tank.
That's a sweet nano.. I've been contemplating building an edge nano but then I found out today that there's a 12 gal edge that fluval just released.. I'm pretty stoked so Im thinking about waiting and getting that one and building my nano saltwater.. What do ya'll think about that? I've got 3 FW and this'll be my first SW.. what all should I be looking for as far as set up and what not is concerned?

Re: 6G Fluval edge tank.
First off I would say that your first SW tank should be atleast 30g. The more water the better off you are. That being said, you would only need a heater, a hydrometer, some salt and your ro water. Since the tank is so small you would want to buy some starter sand and LR from an established tank. You could buy the "live sand" and cycle the tank that way but your ecosystem will be weak and fragile.
